Hi everyone wow i have been so slack with my posting but with my son graduating from the Army and renovations happening here at home i havent had much time for blogging .

Hi Everyone ....
Well its been a little chilly here on the south coast of late and i have been doing a little extra scrapping to pass away these winter days .
I happened to wander over to STUFF TO SCRAP blog last night and i found a fantastic challenge that got my creativity happening ..

The challenge is to use these following three colours on your LO (make these the dominant colours) – of course you can still use your neutrals.
Lime Green
Turquoise
Ballet blue
Also we would love you to include FIVE buttons and of course chipboard!!

Well here we are in June already where is the time going and its challenge time once again ...
Up first is BW2 the challenge over there is
BLACK ONLY BASE CARD STOCK

And i got a surprize in the mail today my son Drew as most of you know is away at Kapooka doing his 80 days Army training ...and this little guy came in the post thismorning from Drew i couldnt stop crying when it arrived so Drew Bear now take prize place on top of my ink box at my work station so i can have him with me all the time ...How blessed am i to have such a wonderful caring thoughtful son ...

Hi everyone WOW i have a little to share with you all today but firstly on a very personal note i want to share with you the news of my son Drew who yesterday may 2nd began his journey in the Australia Army
he has done us very proud the past 8 months by changing his life around and becoming the amazing young man he is ..
So here is a pic of Drew and myself (not a great one of me lol) but none the less its a pic to mark a milestone in our lives ...

Hello everyone today i have a little easter page to share with you ...I have created this LO using a file from FILCUTZ its called easter egg wrapper i only used the eggs from the file and i have backed them with foils from easter eggs just to give them some colour ...i have also used Bo Bunny petal pushers paper and chippy range

I have been a busy little beever on the scrapping front i have something i can now share with you , Lisajane asked me to work on a new file called TATTERED FLOWERS and this is the layout i done with the flowers i made using this file , I curled the edges and sprayed them with glimmer mist to give a nice soft shimer look to the flowers ...

TEENAGE BOYS !!!

I thought i would drop in here and just let you all know i may be a little mia over the next week ,
On Sunday my 20 year old son Chris was heading home to goulburn after a very wet miserable weekend here at home with us when he became the innocent victim to a gaping big gash in the road left by the RTA which caused him to have a terrible car accident . Thankfully he is ok only come out of it with a sore shoulder but thousands of $$$ in damage to his car .
So after getting over the shock of this and thinking this week would be a good week as the weather finally came good today , i get a phone call from my 18 year old son Drew mum im ok but i hit some pot holes in the road on my way home from kiama and smashed the car in to a tree ...By this point can you imagine how i was feeling i almost passed out with the news . Thankfully Drew is ok too but his car is also not in a good way . I often wonder if my run of bad luck will ever end ...But at least neither of them were speeding and no one else was involved in the accidents ...
so i may not be around much this week sorting out DR checkups and insurance claims and so forth .

BLACK WITH 2 IS BACK

Hi everyone its Eve Sheppard here well after a very long absence i have acquired the BW2 blog back and i am planning on making it a whole lot of fun .

We are looking for some sponsors so if anyone wants to sponsor us for a term please drop us an email , the more the merrier .

Challenges will start in April but for now we are on the hunt for a brand new fresh group

of Designers .

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

we want a group of girls who can commit to a 6 month term be reliable and artistic to help bring the BW2 back to life.

We will be having 2 challenges per month 1st and 15th of the month .

SCRAP WITH V CYBERCROP

Morning everyone well last friday was the scrap with v cyber crop
My fellow DT set some amazing challenges for every one to play with
and i totally enjoyed having a go at all 5 of them
so here is what i done .
Tina Reynolds set the first challenge it was

Main colours RED BLACK AND WHITE and you have to use a text out of a LOVE SONG for your title!!
and here is mt take on it

Next challenge was set by Valerie Bishop it was a sketch

Next challenge was set by Nick Knopke it was make a card in the colour you love with the word love on it and a heart or 2 , Here is my take on it ....

Next challenge is a mixture of criteria set by the DT
the criteria is as follows ...

use five buttons
paper pleating
chipboard and alter it in some way - emboss distress etc
use Amy Benders origami hearts on your layout from the tutorial on the blog here
and lastly you must use lace
and here is my take on this one

Last challenge was a mystery challenge set by Kristie
and this is how mine turned out ...Just want to say thanks to the DT for all the work you have done to make these challenges fun its awesome being a part of a great team ...

Last night was my daughter Klaire-Jaydes year 6 formal , it was a busy afternoon running around getting her ready doing her hair nails and makeup . It was also met with some mixed emotions too as she is growing up so fast and it marked the end of her first journey in her life , she is off to high school next year where bigger and brighter things will be install for her and i wish her every success over the next 6 years of her school career .

OMG it just not stopping this mojo of mine , can someone tell me where it came from .
Ok i have a little more to show you today i thought i would have a go at the challenge over at STUCK ON YOU SKETCHES this amazing sketch has been designed by the beautiful vanessa waller and she has done an amazing job .

and here is my take on it , i have used the new kaiser ENGLISH ROSE papers i just adore this range its soft and subtle and suits all types of scrapping .

Also over at scrapbudz we have the monthly latte and cream challenge going last month was colours of your choice and a photo of a flower , i have used a pic of a gardenia from my own garden i have a row of them planted round the entertainment area and they are literally loaded with buds and blooms right now and the perfume is just divine .so here is my take on the challenge .

Hi everyone , i sure have been busy scrapping since i joined the scrap with v DT and im loving how being on a team has seen my love of scrapping return with a huge bang .
Anyhoo here is what i have been doing ..i was shown a double layout that was created by the beautiful Irene Tan and i just had to have a go at it ...only i have done it a little different i done it on a 24inchx 12 inch canvas to hang on my living room wall and to protect it from dust i have adhered acetate over the entire layout ...so all credits go to Irene for this amazing layout that you see below

My next little project is a card i made , its a little snow globe shaker card .

Hi everyone well the past few days i have been working hard on some cards , trying to use up some scraps that were laying on my desk .
Also i have been busy working on the Twiddly Bits advent calendar that i picked up at the Penrith paper craft festival ...I used the new bo bunny midnight frost paper on it and to create the snow i used flower soft with some tones jones glitter for added sparkle ...The little christmas lights were cut out on my craft robo , i hand made the little boxes for it to make it a little more special when hiding the treats inside . Now all i have to do is hang it and fill it and wait for dec 1st ..

BEEN SCRAPPING UP A STORM !

Hi everyone this is going to be a long post so just bear with me , i have been very busy the past few days with loads of challenges from over at scrapbudz .
.First challenge is the latte and cream august challenge set by my wonderful DT chick Annette Gearside this was the inspiration pic with either latte or cream as base colour .

and here is my take on it

Next challenge we have a sketch challenge set by our DT Christine Harrison from scrapbudz

Christine supplies us with some amazing sketches each month this month she done 2 but i only got around to doing one , so here is my take on her sketch ....

We also had a few card challenges at scrapbudz too this challenge was to make a birthday card using mono colour , this was set by the lovely DT Nicole K also Christine set a card challenge from a sketch and Nick also challenged us to make an envelope to match the sketch card so here is my take on all 3 challenges

I also done a layout just for the fun of it showcasing a photo that my husband took and surprizingly this photo he entered in to a competition and they picked it up for publication in the 2010 BEST PHOTOGRAPHY ANTHOLOGY book very proud of him to grab this publication and award after only being in the photographic industry for such a short time .

Next layout is my take on the August sketch on the kaisercraft blog i thought i would try my hand at a few outside challenges this month .

Hello ladies ,
Well i have been MIA for quite some time now but i am finally getting my head around the things that have taumented me for some months now and i think i am ready to tackle the scrap world once again .
I dont have any work to show you as i simply have not scrapped , but i am considering re opening the scrapbudz forum again and also the shabbychic challenge blog .
But i will keep you all posted as to when this will happen .

LOTS OF SCRAPPING

I have been rather busy scrapping my heart out the past few days and here is what i have come up with the first layout is of my little man Mason i have used an old kaiser range on this one .

The next one is Mason and Klaire at xmas time again using the kaiser Belle papers and the 3rd layout is my son Chris and his beautiful partner Maddy i used the leftovers of kaiser Belle papers on this one too .

Last but not least is Mason again using the laters kaiser papers from the Q3 magazine they have a comp going and this is my submission to the competition using the FREE papers from the magazine .

WORK AND SOME NEWS

Well i have been a little quiet in the scrapbook department of late , life has been terrible hard as a lot of you know coping with the death of a child is not the easiest thing to have to face in ones life .
Anyway i have a little bit of work and news to share with you ,
the first layout here is one i have done is of my late stepson Joshua ,
this is going to be hung on my living room wall with my other sons formal photos that i have scrapped .
The second page is one that was done for scrapbudz last cybercrop its a challenge set by DT nick called 54321 challenge ...
Now to my news finally after 2 long years my work has gone to print Kaiser craft were the first to publish me in the Q3 magazine ...i scored a copy of it last week thats my page in the centre ...
Also an American magazine
SCRAPBOOK NEWS AND REVIEWS have picked up 4 of my pages and they go to print tomorrow ..
Its been a good start to 2010 for me so far , putting the dramas of a few things aside i am confident i will have a far better year ahead ..

2009 IN REVIEW

Happy new year to everyone who takes the time to read and comment on my blog , here is a look back on a year i wish to forget ((except for some bits of it )) ,
the year started out with my son drew in hospital fighting for his life with a staph infection that he picked up in the local river , after some weeks of recovery things started to go back to normal only to have the same son bashed by a 40 year old leaving drew with some mental disabilities .
We cruised through to the middle of the year and everyone in my house became ill with swine flu and as most of you know i was the one who came out the worst with pneumonia and a lung operation .
We had some milestones during the year my eldest son chris was promoted to manager of kmart and he also found himself the most beautiful girlfriend who we all adore .
We sadly lost our fury friend Misty due to a terrible cancer and then we welcomed a new fury member to the family Bella the border collie ...Mason started to talk this year after some months of speech therapy that really took him no where .
Then hubby and i celebrated 8 years of marriage together and a beautiful weekend away to renew our vowes on sydney harbour ...We were thinking this would be the perfect ending to a somewhat shit year of ups and downs ..
But it wasn't going to be this way at all on dec 19 i got the call that all parents dread ...my hubbys son Joshua was in a head on collision with a truck on QLD notorious Bruce highway south of Rockhampton , sadly Joshua passed away in the accident he was only 19 years old and just became a daddy .
So there is my year in review its been a shocking one , who knows why our family have been struck with such horrible happenings but one can only hope for a brighter year ahead .

MY WEDDING VOW RENEWAL WEEKEND

On Saturday the 21st November hubby and i spent an amazing weekend in Sydney to
renew our wedding vows , we decided to go all out and dress up and hire our original
photographer and make a full weekend of it .
Our best mate and his lovely partner Mick and Rosa joined us all the way from Canberra
and the day went off with only 1 hitch , this being that i forgot to have alans suit trousers hemmed up but all was not lost as i had magic velcro dots with me so i used them ..
but other than that it was a perfect unforgettable day , the weather was beautiful the company was great the food on the captain cook cruise ship and the service was outstanding ..
So here is just a hand full of the pics i hope you enjoy looking at them ...

How excited am i ....2 months ago i sent off neumerous layouts to kaisercraft and today i received an email back to say one of my layouts has been chosen for consideration to be published in the Q3 magazine ...
I am so shocked and happy as this is the first time i have been picked up for publication in a real paper magazine ...so hopefully i will make it to print ...

Hi everyone i have had some super news this week

and i am doing the happy dance and cant take the smile off my face .

I entered in crafty sketches and guess what ....yup i won first prize

Then i joined in at the cybercrop over at scrap with v and i have just taken out first prize there for the second challenge .

OMG 2 wins in 1 week im now going to have a fat head for a month hahahah

Hi all fellow scrap people well as some of you know i have been extremly sick for the past 5 weeks . I had human swine flu and developed pneumonia with it , i then had a build up of fluid on my lung that required me to go to hospital and have it drained ( very painfull might i add ) but unfortunatly thyere is still a collection of fluid on my lung thats not going anywhere so its test after test and x-rays gallore at present . So this is why i have not blogged and have no scrap work to share as i just have not had the energy to do a thing .
Now as you know i am the owner and founder of the BW2 challenge blog ...well i made the decission last week that it was taking up too much of my time and i just felt that i could no longer look after it so rather than close it i decided to hand it over to someone who would take it to a new level .
That someone is one of the CT team girls my dear friend Kim Kendel , i know Kim will love it as much as i did and nurture it and take it to the next level .
Sadly one of the CT girls Janet has had to step down to fullfill family commitments but steping in to her shoes at BW2 is the talented Kylie Tout ...i want to wish Kylie all the best on her journey with BW2 i am sure she will have a load of fun . I am also back on the CT over there as well so i want to thank Kim for having me on the team ...i feel like i am still a huge part of the blog .
well thats all from me i am sure i will have some scrapping done soon to share ...
